On the Eve of 2016

Man, this year has been full of character: hardships, blessings, disappointments, adventure, loss, new friendships, and more. As we prepare for tomorrow and everything 2016 will bring, we can't help but take a moment to look back on 2015 and simply say how faithful God has been.

When this last year started, it was full of plans; plans on plans on plans for what we hoped would happen in our ministry. In fact, we even made a specific list of "goals and dreams" for the year. Well, we can confidently say that God completely fulfilled the dreams that seemed completely unattainable (ie. getting 100% out of debt, which seemed impossible!). He also chose to show us that our goals were too small for His plans. He has blown us away with His faithfulness. In all honesty, there were moments where we felt confused and doubt crept in on whether God was going to take care of us. But, as He's proven time and time again, He did.

So, as we look ahead into 2016, we're dreaming big. But we also recognize that God may have different plans (that will always be of greater eternal benefit to us and His kingdom). This means we have to keep our hands completely open at all times; not holding on too tightly to the plans we create, making room for God to give and take as He pleases. We encourage you to do the same this year. Below is some truth to bring you into all that 2016 has in store. Would today be filled with reminders of all that God has done and brought you through this year.

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,' declared the Lord. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

"For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, "Do not fear; I will help you." Isaiah 41:13

"My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart You, God, will not despise." Psalm 51:7

“O Israel, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield.”  Psalm 115:9

Be blessed in 2016 everybody :)
